Rosie I. George

Rosie I. George, 85, of Tamaroa, passed away at 5:10 A.M., Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Rosie was a homemaker.  She was of the Catholic faith.
She was born November 20, 1918 at Tamaroa, IL, the daughter of Walter and Martha (Waligorski) Knapp.
She married Louie George in 1934 at Tamaroa, IL and he preceded her in death on June 22, 1954.
She is survived by two daughters - Patricia Ellison and husband Steve of Tamaroa, and Joann Skorcz and husband Charles of Tamaroa, four sons - Jimmy George and wife Yvonne of Panama City, FL, Howard George and wife Phyllis of Tamaroa, Eddie George and wife Dorothy of Tamaroa, and Glen Harlan and wife Carrie of Tamaroa, two sisters - Gusty Woodside of Tamaroa and Flora Weisel of Tamaroa, one brother - Leroy Knapp of Du Quoin, twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons - Frank George and Harold Eugene George, three brothers - Lawrence Knapp, Marion Knapp, and Joe Knapp, two sisters - Mary Jane Dominick and Leona Heiman, special friend - Glen Harlan and one grandchild.
Funeral services were at 10:30 A.M., Friday, November 19, 2004 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Rev. Joseph Crowe officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 P.M., Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Interment was in the Tamaroa Cemetery at Tamaroa.
